What Is Changing?

JAMB and the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) have introduced a system aimed at simplifying the verification of WASSCE O’Level results for candidates participating in JAMB-regulated admissions.

Under the arrangement, candidates pay a one-off ₦4,000 verification fee through the designated JAMB Verification Service.

The system is intended to replace situations where candidates were required to verify the same result repeatedly for different institutions and, in some cases, make separate payments.

Once a candidate’s result has been successfully verified, JAMB can share the verification outcome with relevant institutions for admission screening and processing.

3. Pay the ₦4,000 verification fee through the official JAMB payment channel.
4. Obtain the O’Level Verification Code generated after payment.
5. Follow the instructions provided by JAMB to complete the verification process.

Where instructed, candidates may be required to send VERIFY [Verification Code] by SMS to the designated short code using the appropriate telephone number.
