EPL: They closed him down – Merson criticises Arsenal star after defeat to Brighton

Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has criticised midfielder, Bruno Guimaraes following the Gunners’ Premier League 3-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
Merson insisted that Brighton closed the Brazilian international down quickly during the encounter.
According to him, the former Newcastle United star was ‘miles off it’ in Arsenal’s heavy defeat to Brighton.
“A million miles off it. I said at half time he [Guimaraes] would come off, but he’s stayed on for another 10 minutes or so,” Merson said on Sky Sports.
“It was really quick for him; they closed him down.”
Arsenal’s next match is against Leeds United at Emirates Stadium on October 10.
