Nigerian content creator, Peller has come under scrutiny after an old video showing him urging his followers to report Carter Efe’s TikTok account resurfaced following the platform’s latest ban on the comedian.
The clip began making the rounds online on September 9, shortly after Carter Efe lost his main TikTok account, which had accumulated more than 5.6 million followers and 158 million likes.
In the resurfaced footage, Peller was seen kneeling while appealing to his audience to report Carter Efe’s page. He reportedly accused the comedian of sabotaging other content creators and discussed a strategy for getting the account removed.
TikTok gives reason for Carter Efe’s ban
Despite the renewed attention surrounding Peller’s old video, there is no confirmed evidence linking his appeal to TikTok’s decision to remove Carter Efe’s account.
Screenshots of an enforcement notice circulated online indicated that TikTok permanently banned the page over repeated violations of its Community Guidelines.
The development represents another major setback for Carter Efe, who previously lost an account with about 3.5 million followers in June 2025. He subsequently rebuilt his presence on the platform, attracting more than five million followers before the latest action.
Peller’s old video sparks fresh discussion
The timing of the resurfaced clip has fuelled fresh conversations around rivalry and competition within Nigeria’s content creation industry.
However, TikTok’s stated reason for the ban remains repeated policy violations, with no verified indication that Peller or his followers were responsible for the platform’s enforcement decision.
