A Nigerian roasted corn seller who previously went viral after claiming she makes N2.5 million monthly has retracted the statement, saying it was only meant to be content.

In a recent video, the woman said she never expected the earlier clip to go as viral as it did.

According to the recent video, the lady who recorded the first video informed her that the clip had spread across various social media platforms and asked if she was aware of its popularity.

Responding, the corn seller said her child had already shown her the viral video.

She denied making N2.5 million every month, saying that if she truly earned such an amount, she would not still be standing under the sun selling roasted corn.

She appealed to Nigerians to forgive her, explaining that the claim was made for content and that she did not know it would attract so much attention.

She said:

“I don’t make that lot of money. Nigerians, abeg make una no vex o. Na content o. I no know say the thing go go viral. Since I start this corn business, I never make that kind of money. I make am na him I come dey under sun? Abeg I need help, make una help me.”

The roasted corn seller first went viral after claiming she earned N2.5 million monthly from her business. In her latest video, she withdrew the claim and appealed to Nigerians for forgiveness and support.
