Sowore Reveals Biggest Opponent In 2027 Election
Human rights activist and AAC presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore has revealed his biggest challenge in the 2027 election
The embattled politician stated that ignorance among many Nigerians is his biggest obstacle in the 2027 election.
NEWSNGR reports that Sowore made the statement during an interview on The Manifesto podcast hosted by Bukola Adebayo.
The interview was recorded before his current detention at the Kuje Correctional Centre. A clip from the interview was later shared on his verified Facebook page.
When asked who he considered his main opposition in the next election, Sowore replied that ignorance remains the biggest problem.
According to him, Nigeria’s education system has been weakened over the years, producing political ideas and attitudes that prevent many citizens from deeply understanding national issues.
He said many Nigerians do not examine issues critically and often fail to make informed political decisions.
Sowore also rejected the belief that money is still the most important factor in winning elections. He argued that many Nigerians now understand that their lives depend on better political choices.
However, he noted that poverty and a lack of political awareness continue to make it difficult for many people to make and maintain informed decisions.
The activist further blamed what he described as a poorly developed education system, limited exposure to knowledge, and the influence of social media for encouraging uninformed opinions.
According to Sowore, social media often gives more attention to poorly informed views, making them appear more popular than they should be.
He added that if Nigerians had a higher level of educational awareness and critical thinking, such ideas would not dominate public discussions.
