Reactions Trail What Peter Obi Said After Court Sent Nigerian Activist, Omoyele Sowore To Prison
The reaction came after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered that Sowore be remanded, prompting discussions online about freedom of expression and democracy.
He urged authorities to ensure that Sowore’s rights are protected, adding that Nigeria is already facing serious challenges including insecurity and economic hardship.
“Moreover, our society is already strained by insecurity and biting economic hardship. Therefore, deliberate steps should be taken, even by the courts, to avoid inflaming the situation,” Obi stated.
