“God told me he was the one, but I still blocked him” – Ruth Kadiri opens up on how she met her husband

Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has opened up about how she met her husband, revealing that she believed God told her he was the man she would eventually marry the very first day they met.

Speaking during a recent interview with DANG, she explained that she never grew up with pressure to get married and was never the type to fantasize about marriage.

“I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky,” she said.

The talented screenwriter revealed that she met her husband at work when he approached her and tried to start a conversation.

Although she was not initially interested, she eventually gave him a chance, and they went on to discuss business, importation, and Vietnam.

She further revealed that as she was about leaving, she felt a clear message from God telling her that he was her future husband. Surprisingly, she blocked him two days later, but he later made efforts to find her again.

“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me. Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted,” she added.

Ruth Kadiri also noted that she was in another relationship at the time before eventually going on a date with him, adding that sharing parts of her relationship publicly helped her stay committed to the journey.
