FCT Now Operates Like A Full State – Akpabio Praises Wike, Tinubu

The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, over his contributions to the nation’s capital.

Akpabio declared that the FCT now functions like a full state.

NEWSNGR reports that the lawmaker stated this on Tuesday during the commissioning of the newly constructed Gomani-Dafa-Yangoji roads in the Kwali Area Council, to mark Tinubu’s third anniversary as president.

Representing President Bola Tinubu at the commissioning, Akpabio acknowledged that the FCT now has an active Head of Service, numerous Parastatals, Permanent Secretaries, Coordinators of Satellite town development, and other agencies under the Wike-led administration.

He stated that this is made possible by Tinubu and Wike.

According to Akpabio: “We have a lot of other distinguish personalities here but let me go straight to the host of the FCT, Nyesom Wike, Mr Project; I did not give you that name but Mr President gave you the name. My brother, the Minister of the FCT, Wike and his children are watching the miracle that their father is performing in the FCT.

“When you were introduced, you were called the once Chairman of Obiakpor but you were governor of Rivers State that I know but she forgot that you were once the minister of Education and this is your second coming as minister.

“You have served your country well, through you and Mr President, FCT now has a lot of parastatals, and I have seen the Head of Service and Permanent Secretaries, I have seen Coordinators of Satellite towns development and all agencies in the FCT. In fact, the FCT is now operating like a full state courtesy of Tinubu and the Minister of the FCT.”
