New Movement Emerges

From Okwe Obi, Abuja

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, a movement, Allied Conservative Congress (ACC), has emerged, to dislodge the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), among others, to provide democratic dividends.

ACC National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Sadiq, in a statement yesterday, said the party would promote national unity and abide by the constitution of the country.

He said: “As a conservative political movement, ACC will promote a national policy based on social justice, rule of law, freedom, equality, human dignity, fiscal responsibility peace and progress of all Nigerian people.

“It shall contribute to deepening democracy in the country and ushering a new era of conservative ideology anchored on patriotism and integrity in the service to the fatherland which will accelerate political and socio-economic development of the country, and where citizens will hold government accountable.

“Citizens’ failure to hold government accountable is the remote cause of Nigeria as a failed state today resulting to a reign of terror and total lack of fear of God amongst leaders and people.

“ACC will henceforth intervene in crucial national issues that will strengthen our democracy and return power to the people on whom sovereignty resides.

“ACC extends its hand of friendship and invites all lovers of democracy and good governance to identify with this conservative political movement in our determination to build a new, better and greater Nigeria.

“It is a clarion call to rescue and salvage the nation, and restore genuine democracy with God-fearing leaders and hope for citizens of a better Nigeria.”
