Nollywood star Angela Okorie has criticized her colleague Zubby Michael for publicizing his donation to the family of their late colleague, Junior Pope.
A video showing Michael making the donation to Junior Pope’s widow, Jennifer Awele, and their children has gone viral on social media.
Okorie reacted by condemning Michael for making the donation “on camera,” stating that a young person’s funeral is not an appropriate occasion to display wealth.
The actress shared this via her instastory: “Zubby na young person die, that showcase of money wasn’t necessary. But as a local boy that you are, you don’t have sense. You don’t know where to do a show and where to behave well.
“Abi you get money pass all the dignitaries wey come there? Mugu.”
Recall that Junior Pope passed away on the 10th of April, 2024, along with three others when their boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film location.
He was laid to rest on the 17th of May, 2024 in his hometown of Ukehe, located in Nsukka Local Government Area, Enugu State.
