Research conducted by NewsNGR on the university’s website indicates that the Faculty of Law at the National Open University of Nigeria was established in February 2004. It was later granted school status in 2007 with the appointment of Prof. Justus A. Sokefun as the Dean.
Information gathered by the reporter states, “The Faculty of Law equips students with the theory and practice of law, the principles of judicial process, legal development, and legislative drafting.
“The LL.B programme provides students with basic legal education to facilitate their admission to the Nigerian Bar, where they may become Solicitors and Advocates of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.”
