Big Brother’s Rachel Reilly Gives Emotional Reaction To Gerry & Theresa’s Golden Bachelor Divorce

Big Brother legend Rachel Reilly shared her feelings about The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry Turner & Theresa Nist as part of another reality TV couple who’s made it through difficult times. Rachel, who first appeared on Big Brother 12 and returned to win Big Brother 13, originally met her husband Brendon Villegas on the series. Dubbed “Brenchel” by fans quickly, Rachel and Brendon got engaged after Big Brother 12, marrying in 2012 and welcoming to children after, in between appearances on The Amazing Race. Rachel returned to reality TV for The Traitors season 1 in 2023, bringing her brand of drama back.

Chiming in on the drama surrounding The Golden Bachelor’s Gerry & Theresa, who announced their split late last week, Rachel shared she’s devastated about the reality TV romance coming to a close. “How I feel about Gerry and Theresa splitting …… like actually so sad 😭 #goldenbachelor and haters – love on TV CAN HAPPEN – I’m 14years proof,” Rachel shared.

She posted the tweet alongside two gifs, one of Tyra Banks on an infamous episode of America’s Next Top Model showing the host screaming, “we were all rooting for you,” and a gif of herself, tearfully saying, “Seriously?” on The Amazing Race.

While Rachel shared that she was upset to learn that Gerry and Theresa’s reality TV romance didn’t stand the test of time, others have made it through the trials and tribulations of reality TV and made it to the other side. Bachelor couples have been known to struggle through their relationships after the series, shows like Love Is Blind have paired couples like Lauren Speed & Cameron Hamilton, who have continued a healthy marriage. Couples like Rob and Amber Mariano, who met on Survivor, and Giannina Gibelli and Blake Hortsman, who met on All-Star Shore, have worked out after reality TV.

Rachel and Brendon aren’t the only couple to make it out of the Big Brother house and continue their romance successfully. With a higher success rate than The Bachelor for marriages, Big Brother has produced several successful marriages and brought countless couples together. Big Brother 11’s Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd are one of the longest-lasting BB couples, while Daniele Donato and Dominic Briones married after meeting on BB 13. Most recently, Big Brother 25’s Cory Wurtenberger and America Lopez left the BB house in a showmance that aided in their blindside eviction and have continued dating after the season.
