Abioro Hodonu Samuel posthumous biography

ABIORO HODONU was born 22rd of July, 1935 to the family of late PA Abioro Ata, popularly known as Atakoro, of Jaka’s family in Ago Egun Community, Agosasa, Egbado South Local Government, now Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Abioro Hodonu attended Egbado South Local Government School, Authority Ipokia in 1962. (ESLG Ago Egun, Ipokia between 1955 and 1962).

He was recognized as the Class Monitor of the School due to his active participation in Class Activities.

After his elementary education, He got married to Mrs THASI HODONU ABIORO (Nee Oke) on 26th of June, 1968.

ABIORO HODONU works as a Non-Teaching Staff, Agosasa Community High School, Agosasa Ipokia Local Government, Ogun State.

Abioro Hodonu alongside his civil service work with Ogun State civil service commission, was a farmer.

He was appointed a member of Building Committee of Agosasa Community High School, Agosasa among are MR. SAMUEL OLAITAN, MR. NOJIM ASUNI, MR. T.A OGUNGBE, MR. LABIYI AKALA, MR. SUURU ODUNEWU, MR. KIKI AIYEKOBINU, MR. T.A OLATUNJI during the regime of MR. H.O ONOJOBI as the school Principal in 1983.

He was Honored as one of the Chief of Guest for the second Graduation Ceremony of Agosasa Community High School, Agosasa on 28th of June, 1986.

Abioro Hodonu was bless with Nine (9) children among is ABIORO SINTONJI ALICE OMOTAYO who was born 1989 and died October 1st, 1994 while Hon. Abioro Damilare Athande is the last born of the family.

Abioro Hodonu is the first son and the second born of his family, he was a well-recognized person/ individual and elder in Ago Egun, Agosasa Community. His recognition in Ipokia Local Government was a blessing to the society at large.

ABIORO HODONU due to the nature of his Job/ work, he is known to the community as Akowe (Baba Tisa).

Abioro Hodonu is a loving father of his children and a caring husband of his wife. He is a useful and responsible Man to the community, everyone consult him when his assistance is required.
In the family of Jaka’s, Abioro Hodonu was known and recognize as one of the breadwinner.
He is dedicated to the leadership roles of the family and the entire community at large.

During the lifetime of late PA ABIORO HODONU, he was a member and a leader of Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) during which he assisted the party to gain ground in his area.
According to the testimonies, his participation earned him recognition and as well endeared him to the hearts of the party leaders and followers.

Being a grassroot and prominent political leader during his lifetime ,he played a key role for the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), a Nigerian political party that was dominant in western Nigeria during the second republic

Late PA ABIORO HODONU played vital role especially in 1978-1983 when UPN gained ground, there is no doubt that he really create good background for any of his lineage to venture into partisan politics with good intention to serve the people

Abioro Hodonu’s death was a big lost and challenge to the family and the community at large.
Abioro Hodonu died after a brief illness on the 17th of March, 1992.

He was born into traditional family but was privileged to practice Christianity, as a deveoted member of Methodist Church Nigeria, Aseko Society, Ado-Odo Circuit.

During his lifetime, He was always honored as the Guest of Honor during special service of Ten Lessons, Carols and Variety shows.

He was well recognized and cherished by the leaders of the church including Rev. J.A Asogba Minister In Charge, B.O Asogba Secretary and S.S Dotonou & Lydia Oke, choirmaster and the members of the church.

In gratitude to God Almighty, the family, the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of late PA Abioro Hodonu rejoice and celebrate 32 years remembrance of our father,
” Daddy, your good deeds during your life time has being a blessing to we your children and even to your lineage”.

After your demise, Mom stood by us, despite the circumstances, she dedicated everything into the hand of God, she allow God to lead her and to the glory of God, we your children, grandchildren and the entire family keeps your loving memories.
I Abioro Damilare Athande, the last born among your children pray that God should help me in the journey of leadership.
