Kenebai’s Education Record Speaks for Itself, Says Supporters

Supporters of Hon. Bernard Sunday Kenebai have dismissed what they described as false and misleading claims circulating on social media concerning the former Bayelsa State lawmaker and education advocate.

In a statement made available to the media, the group described Kenebai as a proud product of Unity School and the Nigeria Military School, Zaria (NMS), noting that his educational background has shaped his strong commitment to quality education and community development.

According to the statement, Kenebai played a significant role in supporting the establishment of the Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Toru-Ebeni, describing the initiative as evidence of his commitment to projects that serve the broader interests of the people.

The group noted that Kenebai could have pushed for the establishment of the institution in his own community of Anyama-Ibeni but instead supported its location at Toru-Ebeni in what it described as an act of selflessness and commitment to the wider community.

The statement also referenced former Bayelsa State Governor and serving Senator, Senator Seriake Dickson, who is reportedly an alumnus of Toru-Ebeni Secondary School.

The supporters questioned what they described as the lack of commensurate educational development in the area during Dickson’s eight-year tenure as governor, arguing that Kenebai’s contributions should be assessed based on his actions and impact rather than social media narratives.

They maintained that Kenebai’s vision remains centred on quality education, inclusive development and creating opportunities for the people.

“Kenebai’s vision for quality education and inclusive development continues to speak for itself. His record is defined by service, selflessness and putting the people first—not by social media propaganda,” the statement said.

The group therefore urged the public to disregard what it described as unverified claims and focus on the verifiable contributions of Hon. Bernard Sunday Kenebai to education and community development.
