“Men are trying, o!” — Woman thanks God after getting money back for soup ingredients she bought alone
A woman has shared an emotional account of the stress she endured after using her own money to buy ingredients for soup, highlighting the challenges women sometimes face in managing household finances.
Explaining her experience, she said, “I went to buy soup ingredients by myself. When the soup was done, my head was hurting, and I was angry with myself. I even shouted at my children, thinking, what is my worth that I would go and start buying ingredients for soup?”
Woman shares her experience
The woman revealed that the situation left her unable to enjoy the food she had prepared for her family.
She described the relief she felt after recovering the money she had spent, saying, “I have collected my money back, and I will never return it. Anything that will make me buy soup ingredients, God will not allow it.”
She credited divine intervention for ensuring that she could recover the funds.
Woman prays for husbands and sons providing for their homes
The woman also reflected on the broader context of family life and men’s efforts, noting that men often work tirelessly to provide for their households.
“God will not allow our husbands and sons to die. Men are dropping food, money for food, transport daily,” she said, emphasising the hard work of men in supporting their families.
