Shettima Back in Abuja After Guinea, Switzerland Diplomatic Mission

Vice President Kashim Shettima touched down in Abuja on Saturday following a week of high-level engagements across Guinea-Conakry and Switzerland.
The vice president’s aircraft landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport after he fulfilled dual assignments representing President Bola Tinubu at President Mamadi Doumbouya’s inauguration in Guinea and leading Nigeria’s contingent to the 56th World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Shettima described the mission as reflecting Nigeria’s strengthened commitment to West African regional cooperation and economic transformation under President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
A significant achievement during the Davos visit was the official opening of Nigeria House, the country’s inaugural sovereign pavilion along the Davos Promenade. The facility serves as a permanent platform highlighting investment prospects in Nigeria’s solid minerals sector, agriculture, and digital economy.
The vice president also participated in the Accra Reset Initiative alongside former President Olusegun Obasanjo, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, and Finance Minister Wale Edun. The initiative promotes African industrial development anchored on local capital and value chains instead of external assistance.
