“Bello Turji not a member of our Party” – APC reacts as Membership Card of Wanted Terrorist Trends

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed as false and misleading a viral document circulating on social media which claims that a notorious terrorist, Mohammed Bello Turji, was registered as a member of the ruling party during its ongoing electronic membership registration and validation exercise.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the party described the so-called “APC membership slip” as a complete fabrication with no link whatsoever to its official membership register or database.
According to the APC, a review of the document revealed multiple inconsistencies that clearly expose it as fake. The party noted that the slip claimed the registration took place in a non-existent “Ward 13” in Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, despite the area having only 10 recognised wards.
The APC said none of the digital or registration details displayed on the document correspond with its electronic registration system, stressing that the information does not exist in its records.
Describing the circulation of the document as a deliberate act of misinformation, the party accused unnamed individuals of attempting to mislead the public and damage its reputation through what it termed a “vile and offensive” fabrication.
“The membership slip is fake and has no association with our party’s membership register in any form,” the statement said, adding that the act was designed to confuse members of the public and serve “sinister objectives.”
The APC urged party members and the general public to ignore the document entirely, insisting that it should not be accorded any credibility.
The statement was signed by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, on behalf of the All Progressives Congress.
The fake slip had claimed that Mohammed Bello Turji, a wanted bandit leader linked to deadly attacks in parts of the North-West, was registered as an APC member, an allegation the party categorically denied.
