In other news….Nigerian actor Jim Iyke has explained the reason behind his infamous chase of a movie producer with a machete.
He stated that he will never take on gay roles in any Nollywood project. Iyke revealed that the incident occurred because the producer presented him with a script that required him to portray such a character.
He said: “I can’t roll with the gay guys, I’m sorry. I can’t wear skirt for nobody, I’m sorry. I know there’s a whole community, you know. I salute you guys, to each his own. We’re too much mill to get it twisted, yeah. The last producer that sent me his script along that line… the last… I located that guy with a machete.
Immediately he saw me, he took off. I said, keep running, keep running, keep running. So, they’re trying to reach a wider spectrum of audience and, of course, the community in question will not, you know, okay or give them a nod of approval if you don’t touch on subjects that are sensitive to them.”
In other news… A pastor stirred drama during a church service after openly warning a man to walk away from the woman he came with, insisting she would destroy his life.
“You can’t handle this girl. It’s not that she’s bad, but you can’t handle her. You’ll just have BP and die,” the pastor declared before the congregation.
The man tried to defend the relationship, saying they had been chatting since 2019, but the pastor was unmoved. He revealed the man had left his wife in 2020 and accused the lady of being the cause.
“This one is the one that destroyed your home, and she will keep on destroying your life. Don’t be carrying fire inside your bosom and think you will not be burnt,” he warned, adding that the man would end up broke and frustrated if he ignored the counsel.
When asked, the lady admitted she wasn’t even sure about marriage, confessing that despite years of chatting, they only met physically the day before.
In closing, the pastor told the man to choose carefully: “Either choose your finance or love.”
