‎The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it has neutralised more than 15 terrorists in a precision strike on their hideout in the Sambisa general area.

‎The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) says it has neutralised more than 15 terrorists in a precision strike on their hideout in the Sambisa general area.

‎Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information, Headquarters NAF, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, 4 September 2025, in Abuja.

‎

‎According to him, the air interdiction mission was conducted on 3 September 2025 by the Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) following credible intelligence and confirmatory surveillance.

‎

‎He explained that the newly identified terrorist enclave, located west of Zuwa, had been used by fighters and commanders responsible for recent hostilities around Bitta.

‎

‎“The strikes proved devastating, neutralising over 15 terrorists and demolishing key structures critical to their operations,” Ejodame stated.

‎

‎He further noted that the operation underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property while supporting ground troops in dismantling terrorist networks.

‎

‎“The Nigerian Air Force continues to stand as a symbol of vigilance, professionalism, and decisive airpower in defence of national security. Every successful strike brings Nigeria one step closer to lasting peace,” he added.
