NYG: Team Lagos leads medal table, set to dethrone Team Delta.

As the 9th national youth games draws to a close on Saturday, Team Lagos has shot to the top of the medal table with 72 medals.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Lagosians currently lead the table with 38 gold, 18 silver and 16 bronze medals.
Team Lagos, who are set to dethrone perennial champion, Team Delta are leaving no stone unturned in their determination to emerge champions of the 9th edition of the youth games.
The Lagosians are being followed by Team Edo, who occupy the second position on the log and defending champion, Team Delta coming third on the medal table.
However, with six sporting events yet to be concluded, many observers at the games are optimistic that Team Delta still stand a chance to climb top the medal table.
With a day to the end of the annual youth games, the second placed Team has 27 gold, 11 silver and 16 bronze medals while Team Delta, is third on the table with 23 gold, 27 silver and 27 bronze medals.
NAN reports that the six sporting events that expected to be concluded on Friday, qre badminton, athletics, wrestling, ayo, kickboxing and abula.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
