Asalamu Alaikum, Your Excellency. Happy 59th birthday. On a day like this, you will receive several messages from people from all walks of life. Some would be sourced from official relationships, and others would come from personal experiences.

For me, there are too many threads to weave into a tapestry of the incredible sides to your persona and personality. I have been very privileged to be at the receiving end of your truly inspirational brotherhood and friendhip. I have had the privilege of a “ringside seat” to watch you as a public servant, a leader of people, and a sincerely compassionate human being.

Your political career has marvelled me because of the uncommon sense of fairness with which you relate with colleagues and adversaries alike. In that, you are exemplary beyond the norm in the smoked-filled recesses of Nigerian politics.

You conduct political life with knowledge and passion, and your ability to combine these values marks you out as a leader, politician, and patriot. I have no doubts in my mind that, Inshaa’Allah, you would continue to make a mark with sincere commitment in shaping the destiny of our dear country for the better.

As you celebrate your 59th birthday, it is my prayer to Allah to give you many more years of useful labour to our country and to humanity in good health, happiness, and peace. Amin.
