Eid-ul-Maulud: NOA felicitates Muslims, urges unity among Nigerians
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) being celebrated as Eid-ul-Maulud.
It also called on Nigerians to uphold the rule of law and unity for peace and development of the country.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Director-General of the agency, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, issued by the Director of Communication and Media, Mr Bala Musa on Friday in Abuja.
“On this occasion, I urge Muslims to embrace forgiveness and draw closer to the noble life and teachings of the Prophet, which remain a guide for peaceful and upright living.
“Unity among Nigerians remains a vital weapon in the fight against insecurity.
“When citizens stand together and actively support security efforts, the nation is better positioned to overcome violence, restore peace, and build lasting stability,” Issa-Onilu said
The NOA boss described the Prophet as a true embodiment of unity, peace, and compassion.
He urged Muslim faithful to draw lessons from his teachings and traditions by fostering tolerance and promoting national unity.
Issa-Onilu prayed for peace, unity, and progress across Nigeria.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah for wisdom and strength to guide President Bola Tinubu as he works to lead the nation towards growth and development. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
