PDP Chieftain Ibrahim Little Resigns from Party, Joins Opposition Coalition

A prominent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Kano State, Ibrahim Ali Amin (Little), has resigned from the party, citing unresolved leadership crises and a breakdown of internal democracy.

In a resignation letter addressed to the Ward Chairman of Tudun Wada Ward in Nassarawa Local Government Area, Amin said his decision takes effect immediately.

“I wish to formally inform you of my decision to resign my membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with immediate effect,” the letter read.

Amin, a long-time member of the PDP, expressed frustration over the state of the party, saying it is no longer functioning as a cohesive political platform.

“The unending crisis arising from leadership tussles has seriously undermined and destroyed the internal cohesion required for the party to progress,” he wrote.

He further pointed to what he described as the party’s failure to uphold internal democracy and its founding principles.

“The lack of respect for internal democracy and disregard for the principles upon which the party was founded have made it impossible for me to continue to associate with the PDP in good conscience,” Amin stated.

He disclosed that he is now joining a coalition movement, which he says is aimed at rebuilding the country and promoting genuine democracy.

“I have conscientiously decided to withdraw my membership of the PDP and to join the coalition movement committed to saving our country and restoring genuine democratic values,” he added.
