NPC DG Baffa Danagundi Cancels Birthday Celebration to Mourn Passing of Dantata

The Director General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Babba Danagundi, has cancelled his 52nd birthday celebration following the death of elder statesman Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.
Danagundi made the announcement while receiving members of his staff who had gathered at his office to mark his birthday.
“I am deeply thankful for your commitment and hard work. Without your dedication, the achievements we have made since my assumption of office would not have been possible,” he said.
He explained that the decision to cancel the celebration was due to the passing of Dantata, describing the moment as solemn for the country and for him personally.
“It is with a heavy heart that I announce the cancellation of the celebrations in light of the passing of our respected father figure and philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata. His contributions to society and his selfless generosity have left an indelible mark on all of us,” he added.
He called on others to honor Dantata’s legacy by remaining committed to their work. “Let us channel our grief into renewed commitment to service and productivity, in the spirit of the late Alhaji Dantata’s lifelong dedication to community development,” Danagundi said.
He also urged Nigerians to show solidarity during the period of mourning and to uphold values such as compassion, generosity, and hard work.
