Governor Yusuf Promotes Aides, Names New DGs

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has approved new appointments involving the promotion of some aides and the selection of new officials into leadership positions across key government agencies.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Dr. Bashir Abdu Muzakkari, who was Special Adviser on Digital and Creative Economy, is now the Director General of the Kano State Information and Communication Technology Development Agency (KASITDA).

Dr. Fatima Abdul Abubakar, known as Amneef, formerly Special Adviser on Enlightenment and Social Mobilization, has been appointed Director General of the Kano State Social Protection Agency (KASPA).

Others appointed include Kabiru Saidu Dakata as Director General of the Kano State Advert and Signage Agency (KASA); Engr. Isyaku Umar Kwa as Deputy Managing Director of the Kano State Housing Corporation; Hamisu Musa Gambo Danzaki as Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board; Barr. Isma’il Nasarawa as Provost of the Anti-Corruption Institute; and Captain Mohd Bello Maigaskiya Gabasawa (Rtd.) as Commandant of the Corporate Security Institute.

Governor Yusuf said, “I am confident that these appointees will bring their wealth of experience and commitment to bear in driving the vision and policies of the state to greater heights.”
