Principal’s House Razed Down After Collecting NECO Money Without Registering Students

  • The students claim that the principal neglected to register them for the 2025 National Examinations Council (NECO) examination, despite having collected N85,000 from each of the 178 students.

A group of disgruntled final-year students from Gyutiev Model College, located in Saghev Ward of the Guma Local Government Area in Benue State, have reportedly set fire to the home of their principal, Mr. Isaac Yina.

According to various reports, this incident took place in the early hours of Friday.

The students claim that the principal neglected to register them for the 2025 National Examinations Council (NECO) examination, despite having collected N85,000 from each of the 178 students.

When approached by Daily Post, Udeme Edet, the Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Police Command, indicated that she had not yet received any information regarding the incident.

However, she assured our correspondent, stating, “when I find out, I will let you know.”
