NRO Mourns Dantata, Says Nigeria Lost a Pillar of Industry

The Northern Reform Organization (NRO) has expressed sorrow over the death of elder statesman and businessman Alhaji Aminu Dantata, describing it as a loss to Kano, the northern region, and Nigeria.

In a statement signed by its Chairman, Board of Trustees, Alhaji Gidado Muktar, and Publicity Director, Mahmoud Adnan Audi, the organization said Dantata’s death has left a gap in the country’s business sector.

“Alhaji Aminu Dantata played a vital role in boosting commerce and industries in Kano and across the borders for decades,” the statement said. “He died at a time when his wisdom and experience are much needed for Nigeria’s economic growth.”

NRO described Dantata as “a reformist in the areas of governance, economy, education and societal reorientation.”

It added that his record in business, philanthropy, and support for development in northern Nigeria would be remembered.

The group offered condolences to the Dantata family, the business community, and the Kano State Government, and prayed for Allah to grant him Jannatul Firdaus and give his family strength.

The Northern Reform Organization, known in Hausa as Kungiyar Farfado da Martabar Arewa, said Dantata’s death marked the end of a generation of northern leaders.
