PDP Is Falling Apart, Sule Lamido Will Soon Be in APC — Ganduje Fires Back

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has dismissed rumours about his defection to the opposition and instead directed criticism at former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido, suggesting the PDP chieftain might join the APC.

Reacting to Lamido’s claim that the APC is on the verge of collapse, Ganduje said: “Rather than me joining the PDP, it is Sule Lamido who will soon be received into the APC. The rumours of my defection are baseless and laughable.”

He described Lamido’s comments as “illogical” and said they stem from desperation. Ganduje argued that it is the PDP, not the APC, facing internal conflict and disorganization.

“The APC is stronger than ever and continues to attract respected leaders from across the country. The PDP, on the other hand, is on life support. By 2025, it will be politically irrelevant,” he said.

Ganduje said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is responsible for the APC’s recent gains. “Under Tinubu’s leadership, Nigerians have renewed their faith in the APC. We are focused on deepening internal democracy, delivering good governance, and building a stronger nation.”

He ended by telling Lamido to address issues in his own party. “The PDP is dead. Very soon, Lamido will have nowhere else to go.”
