My Music is Top-Tier, Not Mid — Joeboy Claps Back at Critics

Nigerian music sensation Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, widely known as Joeboy, has hit back at critics who have labeled his music as “mid.”

The singer has faced a barrage of negative comments on social media, with detractors downplaying the quality of his artistry.

However, during a recent appearance on the Backstage Banter podcast, Joeboy firmly dismissed the criticisms, asserting that his achievements speak volumes.

“There’s absolutely nothing ‘mid’ about me or my existence,” he declared.

“The fact that I’ve accomplished so much at a young age and stayed grounded is proof enough.

That’s not ‘mid’ in any sense.”
Joeboy also suggested that his critics’ negativity stems from personal dissatisfaction with their lives.

“If you’re truly content with your life, you wouldn’t waste time attacking others online. What even is ‘mid’? It feels like just another trendy word people throw around without context,” he remarked.

In his confident clapback, Joeboy made it clear: his artistry and journey are far from average.
