Peace will return to Rivers State again – Oborevwori

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has assured that peace will return to Rivers State again.

He stated this at the inauguration of 21.49 kilometres of Egbeda internal roads and drainages in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Tuesday.

“I am happy to be here today to inaugurate the Egbeda community internal roads executed by my brother Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara.

“Let me thank you for your support for my brother. Coming here today from Delta State shows we are all one in this region. It shows a great relationship between us and points to the fact that, as a state, we support our brother states in the South-South region.

“Our unity as a region is as strong as ever. We are united in this region and will continue to do well for our people because we are one of the richest regions in the country.

“We are the ones producing the wealth of this nation and there is no reason we will not give our people development because that is what they want and this is the dividend of democracy,” said Governor Oborevwori.

In his remarks, Rivers State’s Governor Siminalayi Fubara thanked Oborevwori for accepting to inaugurate the projects and also lauded the contractor for completing the project on record time.

“For all your support, we owe you the dividends of democracy and I can assure you that we are just starting because if in four months we can finish this and get this kind of applause, you can imagine what will happen in the years to come.

“I can assure you that Rivers State will experience something different from regular governance. Our concern remains the welfare of the people and what we have done here is to build the road to their satisfaction, meet their people and solve the flood problem in this community,” he said.
