There are a wide variety of companions to recruit in Starfield, but one of them seems to have walked right out of a history book. Each companion in Starfield is different: some of them are friends and allies who devote their lives to the player character, some of them are mere mercenaries who can be hired for a fee, and some of them land somewhere in between. They all have their likes and dislikes, and a few of them can even been romanced. They can follow the player character directly, work on their ship, or be assigned to an Outpost in Starfield.
