Christopher Nolan's acclaimed Oppenheimer has had an extended run in theaters and won't be released on video-on-demand in the immediate future. The third highest-grossing film of 2023 is still inching toward the converted $1 billion mark at the global box office, having spent more than two consecutive months in theaters. While its Barbenheimer counterpart Barbie is already available to purchase on video-on-demand platforms, Oppenheimer will remain exclusively in theaters for the foreseeable future.
