Lando Calrissian and Han Solo become Generals in the Rebel Alliance in Return of the Jedi, with canon and Legends materials providing backstories for their respective promotions. Return of the Jedi ends with the climactic Battle of Endor, an engagement whose Rebel victory marks a turning point in the Galactic Civil War, with many of the Empire’s best and brightest, including Darth Vader and Emperor Palpatine himself, perishing. The battle is simultaneously fought in three locations, with Lando Calrissian leading the Millennium Falcon in the Battle of Endor and Han Solo spearheading the mission to disable the shield generator on Endor.
