The Expendables 4 has received the worst reviews of the franchise, and its Rotten Tomatoes score is so much lower than the last three movies as a result. The action movie franchise headlined by Sylvester Stallone and Jason Statham has never been one to get the best reviews. This included the franchise hitting a new low with The Expendables 3, which played a part in it taking a decade for the Expendables team to come back. The passage of time allowed nostalgia to fade even more and Hollywood action movies to level up to new heights, creating new challenges when it came to The Expendables 4's reviews improving.
