The World War II drama The Pacific may have the look of the wartorn Pacific Theater, but in reality, the entire series was filmed in various parts of Australia. In 2010, nine years after Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg created Band of Brothers, the two reunited for their second war drama collaboration, The Pacific. The series follows three stories of heroism from real-life World War II soldiers including Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge, and John Basilone. Despite its actual filming locations, the show succeeds at showcasing the distinct landscape of the Pacific during the Second World War.
