While Spider-Man has been glaringly missing from Sony's Spider-Man Universe, Hardy's Venom movies have served as the main creative force of the franchise. According to specialized box office tracking website Box Office Mojo, 2018's Venom ended its worldwide run with $856 million, and while Venom: Let There Be Carnage's $506.8 million fell short of the original, Hardy's Venom has proved to be very popular with audiences.
