There has been speculation that Thor 5 may be produced for the MCU, but whether this project would keep the comedic Thor or revert to a more serious tone has become a hot topic of discussion. Chris Hemsworth debuted as Thor in 2011's eponymous Phase 1 film and later became a founding member of the Avengers and a pivotal hero in several MCU storylines. Thor is currently the only original Avenger to receive four solo films in the MCU, but despite this, 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder became one of the franchise's most divisive projects. Nevertheless, Marvel Studios confirmed that Thor will be returning in the MCU's future.
