The Scott Pilgrim series began as a quirky graphic novel filled with charm, wit, action and an entertaining storyline that resonated with a generation trying to figure out their lives. Before Bryan Lee O'Malley's sixth and final volume released, the Edgar Wright-directed film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and a video game were announced. However, the new animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off plans to improve on past attempts to adapt the story.
