Police intensify search for missing Ekiti varsity student

The police in Ekiti State have said search efforts for a missing 500-level student of the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Helen Eberechukwu Okorie, were ongoing.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Sunday Abutu, disclosed this in a statement titled ‘Missing person,’ in Ado-Ekiti on Saturday.

Abutu added that the 23-year-old female student, a resident of the Irona area of Ado Ekiti, had been missing since 13th September.

He said, “While the Command has commenced an investigation to unravel her whereabouts, anyone with useful information concerning her present location should kindly contact the nearest Police Station or call 09064050086.”

The statement reads in part, “This is to inform members of the public that one Helen Eberechukwu Okorie of No.15, Ayoba Quarters, Behind Sadiat Hotel, Irona Area, Ado Ekiti, left home on 13th September 2023 at about 8 am to an unknown destination and never returned.

“She is 23 years old, chocolate in complexion, speaks English and lgbo languages fluently and has no tribal mark. She is a 500-level student of Ekiti State University.”
