Newcastle smash eight past Sheffield United

Newly promoted side, Sheffield United, endured a heavy loss on Sunday evening as they suffered a heavy 8-0 defeat by Newcastle.

Sheffield, who gained promotion to the English Premier League, have had quite a tumultuous opening season, with only one point in six games.

The Magpies returned to winning ways in the EPL after suffering three straight losses.

The away team got on the score sheet in the 21st minute after Sean longstagf hit the ball from 10 yards.

Ten minutes later, the Magpies doubled their lead when team captain, Trippier, crossed the ball into the direction of Daniel Burn.

The defender wasted no time as he headed the ball into the back of the net.

In the 35th-minute mark, Trippier, again, lifted the ball from a free kick and Botman rose highest to nod th ball into he net.

Callum Wilson made it four for the visitors in the 56th minute when he headed home a cross from Trippier.

The captain now has three assists registered in his name.

Like it wasn’t enough, the away team scored the fifth goal of the day when substitute Anthony Gordon beat defensive midfielder, Ahmedhodzic, before curling the ball past another defender into the bottom right corner of the goalpost.

Paraguayan player, Miguel Almironا, got the sixth of the day for his side after latching on a through low ball.

Guimaraes score the seventh goal after he struck the ball with a smashing shot into the top right-corner of the net.

Alexander Isak was the eighth player who got the number eight goal for the visitors as he calmly slots the ball into the net at the 87th mark.

Newcastle evidently ran riot at Bramall Lane as some of the home fans left the stadium in frustration.

They currently occupy the eighth position on the league table.

Sheffield remain on the 20th position at the rock bottom of the table.
