Every Anime That Crashed Crunchyroll's Servers Like Gear 5 Did

Despite Crunchyroll being the most popular anime streaming service, sometimes it can’t handle the user traffic as was displayed recently with One Piece’s debut of Luffy’s Gear 5 form. It’s a testament to the love fans have for the medium that when big anime series reach an important milestone, and as users try to watch them first than anyone, it can crash Crunchyroll’s servers. The most recent instance of an anime breaking Crunchyroll happened with the release of Luffy’s first Gear 5 appearance in One Piece’s anime, which also crashed several other sites besides Crunchyroll. Before episode 1071 of the One Piece anime though, there were other five notable times when an anime series broke the world’s most popular anime streaming site. Sometimes the issue was solved quickly, but other times the servers were down for several hours. All this just proves the huge fanbase and popularity these animes have.
