While The Boys often softens up the nastiness of the original comics, the television adaptation made one dark scene even worse than its source material. The Boys has captured the spirit of the cult comics of the same name that the series is based upon. However, even a show as gory, shocking, and boundary-pushing as The Boys has needed to tone down some of the most gruesome moments from the source comics. A lot of the worst scenes in The Boys wouldn’t translate to television well, and some would be difficult to even depict onscreen.
