Nem Insurance Plc has said it is embracing gender equality.
It said this in a statement to celebrate the 2023 International Women’s Day with the theme, ‘Embrace Equity’.
The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Tope Smart said, “As we celebrate this year’s edition of International Women’s Day today, I join numerous well-wishers all over the world to celebrate all women and not forgetting our wonderful amazons in NEM Insurance Plc group.
“Interestingly, the theme for this year’s International Women’s Day celebration is ‘Embrace Equity’. I totally align myself with this theme given my adherence to the principle of fairness and being a strong believer that everyone should be given equal treatment irrespective of gender.
“In our group today, many departments and units are headed by wonderful women, while some of our branches are equally managed by them and I must not fail to mention that they have performed extraordinarily well in the discharge of their responsibilities.” He added, “As we celebrate International Women’s Day today, I enjoin everyone in NEM to please celebrate these amazing women even as I look forward to having more of them in our fold as they have proved to be indispensable pillars in our society. Once again, congratulations and happy International Women’s Day.”
