Scream 6's Rotten Tomatoes score compares very favorably with the rest of the Scream movie franchise. The 2023 horror release marks a return to the franchise started by Wes Craven nearly 30 years ago. Paramount triumphantly brought the franchise back with 2022's Scream, which brought the franchise's legacy characters back again but also introduced a new cast to take over if sequels were made. Scream 6 represents the continuation of their stories, as Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera) and Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega) lead the Core Four's return, while Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) and Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) also come back.
