Throughout every installment in the Alien franchise, it is absolutely drilled into fans that Xenomorphs are perhaps the deadliest creatures in the cosmos, and their ability to kill people is matched only by their seemingly inability to die. While Xenomorphs are in no way immortal, they are extremely tough, especially when they attack in a horde (which is most often). However, in an older expanded-universe Alien storyline, there was a weapon that could decimate a whole Xenomorph hive in a single shot–and now, that weapon has been brought back into the main franchise canon.
