Tarte cosmetics have stirred an intense debate on TikTok after taking some of the platform’s famous beauty influencers on a luxurious Dubai trip.

Beauty brand Tarte Cosmetics flew a bunch of TikTok’s beauty influencers on a lavish and all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai.

Moreover, the creators were chosen from eight different countries with the company also paying for their plus-ones.

In addition, the trip consisted of some of the biggest beauty influencers’ names including Alix Earle, Meredith Duxbury, and Monet McMichael.

Furthermore, the content creators and their guests seemingly flew to Dubai in the business classes of Emirates earlier this week.

They are reportedly residing in private luxury villas at the Ritz Carlton Rad Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Beach.

Additionally, Tarte seemingly joined hands with Sephora Middle East to sponsor the trip. Besides that, it remains unclear whether the Dubai tourism board also held any financial responsibility for the trip.

Meanwhile, the vacation has raised the eyebrows of netizens who gave their opinion on the company’s decision to spend an exorbitant amount of money for a trip amid a pending recession.

Also, several internet users shared alleged cost breakdowns of the trip. Some estimated the trip to range between $100K to $200K per influencer, including their guest.

Social media users react to Tarte organizing a lavish Dubai trip for TikTokers

Many netizens took to different social media platforms to share their thoughts over Tarte Cosmetics’ recent Dubai trip.

A user wrote, ‘My favorite new conspiracy is that Tarte is a money laundering company lmao.’

Someone else chimed in to say, ‘I’m not comprehending this Tarte trip to Dubai can someone explain where TF all that money came from.’

A different user went on to point out, ‘the amount of money that tarte is putting into this Dubai trip is quite baffling fr.’

Tarte Cosmetics founder defends the Dubai trip

Maureen Kelly, the founder of Tarte beauty sat down for an exclusive interview with Glossy to address the people’s worries about the finances of their recent Dubai trip. 

In addition, she revealed that they did not spend a dime on traditional marketing and instead decided to build relationships with beauty influencers.

She explained, ‘You also have to consider that we’re inviting people to take time out of their jobs and life and get on a long-haul flight for a quick three-day event. That can take a toll on anyone, no matter how excited you are for a trip.’
