Second Chance hosting an adoption event

(WSYR-TV) — The Second Chance Dog Adoption Shelter is currently running at capacity and they need your help.

Due to the pandemic and other factors, space has run out of space at the shelter and they are in need of dogs for adoption. So, Second Chances will host an adoption event on Saturday, January 21 from 10 am to 2 pm at their 6660 East Seneca Turnpike location in Jamesville.

“Overall, we’ve never seen anything like this,” says Stefanie Heath, Second Chance’s software developer. “The numbers are through the roof, and this is nationally, not just locally.”

Interested people can learn about dogs available for adoption, enjoy some snacks, view products to buy, coloring activities for the kids, and more.

Adoption fee is $275 which includes dog being spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm tested, microchipped, and dogs on flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention while They are in the shelter.
