How To Fix Error Code Baboon in Destiny 2

Destiny 2 players have recently been receiving a disconnection issue with the game servers, named the Baboon Error Code. This is a reoccurring problem that fans have continued to face over the game’s existence. The Error Code will appear as Guardians are kicked from activities and are returned to the title screen. While the direct cause of the problem may be different for many players, there are a few solutions that users can try to rectify the issue.

Baboon is not the first time fans have had connection issues in the game. Previously, Error Code Beaver appeared in Destiny 2 as the game servers were transferred from Battle.net to Steam. Bungie eventually put out fixes to stabilize these connection issues. Since Destiny 2 is a live service game, there are bound to be problems that occur over time. However, no player wants to be kicked in the middle of an activity. This can be especially frustrating in difficult content, like a Grand Master Nightfall, which prevents Guardians from rejoining their Fireteam.

When players receive the Baboon Error Code, they are told to search for a solution on Help.Bungie.Net. Before going into deeper problems that may be causing the issue, the company asks fans to switch to a wired connection, if possible. This is because Bungie believes players could be receiving the Baboon Error Code, due to a “Packet loss or disconnections between their home network and Bungie.” Luckily, the company has given numerous solutions on its website to Guardians in Destiny 2.
