How to Change the Time of Day in Xenoblade Chronicles 3

Change Time is a gameplay mechanic in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 that allows the player to change the time of day to whatever hour they please. The world of Aionios is vast and brimming with life, featuring places to explore, NPCs to meet, creatures to slay, and the addition of a day-and-night cycle that adds to the immersion and dynamic nature of the environment in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Accordingly, the world will deliver a different experience depending on the time of day, with secret quests, NPCs, merchants, or monsters only appearing after nightfall.

Therefore, if players are aiming to find and experience everything that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has to offer, they will need to understand how to change the time of day in-game. Fortunately, the procedure is straightforward and accessible, requiring no cost or extra mechanics, such as finding a camp at which to rest. However, keep in mind the option to Change Time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will only become available once players have gotten past the tutorial sequence. Like most JRPGs, the game is quite complex, meaning the tutorial stage has much to teach newcomers. Nevertheless, the feature should become accessible once players are free to explore.

The screen will display the characters on the right, including their Level and Rank. However, on the left side, players can view a list of gameplay options, such as Quests, Map, or Affinity Chart. Opening Change Time in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will display a new screen with a one-handed clock on the right and digits on the left, revealing the in-game Current Time and Time After. Players can use the L and R Buttons to change the time by the hour and view the results in Time After. No matter the “minute” of Current Time, the change visible in Time After will always be at an “o’clock.” Once fans have set a time they desire, they can press the A Button, causing the screen to return to the world, showing that the time of day has been modified in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
