PSV have officially announced that Luuk de Jong is returning to the Dutch side for four million euros after three years at Sevilla, who had loaned him out to Barcelona last term.
Luuk de Jong returns to PSV. On Saturday afternoon, the former Sevilla and Barcelona player signed a contract which runs at the club until June 2025. It will be his sixth season as a PSV player.
De Jong moves from Sevilla, the club he has been at since summer 2019. Last term, the attacker played on loan at Barcelona, where he ended up looking very good playing a secondary role.
At the beginning of this transfer market, PSV made it clear that they wanted to sign the four time Eredivisie winner again. Sporting director, John de Jong, said that he has made a lot of effort to complete the striker’s signing before PSV’s training camp begins.

“For that to happen we had to constantly negotiate in a manner with Sevilla and luckily, on Friday night, we managed to make lots of progress. He’ll be available to travel with the team to Germany on Monday,” he confirmed.
